We had a wonderful night’s stop at Lantern Cottage. The room was spacious, warm, welcoming and contained everything you could possibly need to be totally comfortable. The shower had good strong pressure, the towels large and thick, and the huge bed was really comfortable. So much so that we overslept and only just made it down in time for our breakfast, which was delicious. Strong coffee, great choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt, and a well cooked hot breakfast. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into making this a B&B that is a big cut above the run-of-the-mill. Thanks for a providing a wonderful overnight stop, Debbie!

What a beautiful cosy and welcoming place to stay. Debbie was so kind and made sure I had everything I needed as did Smudgie and Only the feline welcoming committee! Such a quiet spot too, every time I looked outside in the garden I saw beautiful squirrels going about their business. I highly recommend this wonderful B&B.

Honestly one of the best things about my entire trip, I spent most of the rest of it wondering how I got so lucky to find it! Serene, beautiful and immaculately attended on every point. Would recommend to all.

What a wonderful place to stay! I had to pick up a custom made guitar in Brighton & decided to visit the area with my daughter. We had two bedrooms with a connecting bathroom that were just delightful. Cosy and nice in the true sense of the word, quiet & with a view of the garden. Debbie really cooks a delicious breakfast & recommended some nice spots (Ditchling Beacon). Beautiful place to get to know Sussex.

My favourite cottage! The owner is welcoming and warm and she cooks the most delicious breakfast!Situated in a cul de sac, the place is quiet with a perfect atmosphere for those who need to forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Great location for walks in the Downs and only 10 minutes walk from the closest pub.
