Pleasant Sunday evening dinner. Not overly busy, plenty of front of house and service was quick. Food appeared quickly, generous portions and everything cooked and seasoned well. Good value for money, pleasant surroundings, toilets very clean. A decent venue.

Firstly, go if you're hungry, the portion sizes are enormous. Secondly, go if you fancy a pie. We had the chicken special pie and the steak pie, both of which were not only vast but really excellent too. Packed full of meat, almost no filler, they were both very very good. Oh and thirdly the price was extremely good value. Easily one of the best pubs in the area. Happily go back, make sure you book though. We've been turned away a few times in the past, gets very busy.

We’ve been coming here for years and for good reason. If you’re looking for amazing pub food in the area, or just a drink with your friends, this is the best place to come. The service has always been great and the staff are still friendly, talkative and efficient. There is a lot of variety on the menu and it’s very reasonably priced.
