“My wife and I had an anniversary dinner at The Fig Tree last night, and it was smashing. We both had the tasting menu. The food was creative and excellent, and the service superb. And it's unpretentious -- just simply excellent. The best value for money Michelin star restaurant I have found in the UK.”

“I came here many years ago when the previous owners had it and it made me really sad the pub was not living up to it's full potential, I live in Buckinghamshire and visit friends in Brighton twice a year - we ended up driving to the Greyhound and the new owners have just turned the place around night and day - it far exceeded what I even thought the pubs potential was - it's great when it is sunny, when it rains, cold days, hot days - so now I make a point of going there twice a year every time I visit Sussex. I laughed at a 1 star review on here when I read it, then realised it was one of those lunatics that moves next door to a pub and then complains about living next to a pub! Cheers to many more years - it's great to see pubs like this thriving so many are closing down.”
