“This place is a gem. In a world of pubs closing left, right and centre and those that are managing to stay afloat in the current economic climate being less than half empty, this place is how a pub should be. It's been busy but not overly so, the landlord is a great guy and the bar staff are friendly, helpful and work hard. They have pool tables at one end of the pub, clean toilets and a decent function room with a separate bar. Situated right next to Hassocks station. It has a good number of parking spaces but if you can't find a space, the station has parking available.”

“We visited for an evening meal on a Monday evening. The generous helping of food served was delicious, good selection of drinks and all reasonably priced. The pub was more of a dining experience rather than just for a drink and therefore lacked a traditional pub atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, friendly and provided great service.”

“What we thought was a very pub wasn't always. Some bar staff need lessons in how to talk to staff. Visited few times for drinks small garden area. Found one women quite offensive because of the length of time we were in not getting drunk but chatting and time passes but you don't really need staff to tell you how long you've been sitting there”
