This place is a gem. In a world of pubs closing left, right and centre and those that are managing to stay afloat in the current economic climate being less than half empty, this place is how a pub should be. It's been busy but not overly so, the landlord is a great guy and the bar staff are friendly, helpful and work hard. Nice pub, with loads of space, and lots of tables and seating available. Nice food menu for a good lunch, from standard pub dishes to basket meals and side dishes. The friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcome and the pub had a pleasant atmosphere. Free WiFi via 'The Cloud' and decent mobile signal. A great Sports Bar very popular with locals and visitors alike. We met with friends for lunch and a catch-up last Saturday - the food was superb, delivered so quickly, and piping hot. We will be back!
