You have to queue to order your food/drinks and there is a sign that says ‘we’re cashless’ something that is very frustrating if you only want a coffee or tea and would like to pay cash. The person taking the order also makes the tea or coffee. Prices are pretty steep compared with other tea shops or Petworth House. We visited this cafe after a muddy walk around Petworth House and wish to provide a very positive review. 1. The food. I enjoyed a good size bowl of soup and croutons both homemade and a slab of granary bread, which was well priced. My husband had a beef, rocket and horseradish sauce sandwich, which at first seemed expensive but on arrival include a large salad garnish and crisps. 2. Visited today for coffee and cake. The venue is beautiful (although extremely cold) and the waitress was lovely. However, there were no vegan cake options (out of about six cakes), and the only vegan food was a samosa or bhaji!
