It's been a couple of years but because I dared not go back to Duckworth Lane Mother Hubbard's after my 30 minute wait last time I thought I'd try Lister Fisheries again after a couple of years.At £9.50 they weren't much cheaper than MH and on first inspection they did exactly what put me off about them in the 1st place. Come in to get large fish n chips, was speaking to the owner just In general. And was telling him back 2002 I used toCome here as a child n get cheese burger n chips for 99p or a fish a chips for £2.50 but what’s amazing is the fact the food is still pretty much the same and always brings back good memories. I have been coming to Listers Fisheries since I started driving and now I bring my wife and kids too. I am talking about a good 25 years. I drive 9 miles to come here and that's saying summat. The portion size is big whether you get Fish & Chips or Donner Meat & Chips, two of my go to's. The price is reasonable for the portion. I highly recommend them. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
