Have to agree with recent reviews unfortunately, this place has never been fine dining, far from it. But what it lacked in decor and finesse, used to be made up by great food at a cheap price, with reasonably friendly service. Sadly not the case anymore. Food was half-decent but the place needs a deep clean and the staff need to learn how to treat customers. Having been coming here a few years now I have to say the food is consistently good and the prices are still reasonable. They've gone up over the years but not by much and you really do get quality for what you pay. They are very flexible when I ask for something a bit different and it's never any more than a similar dish on the menu. Late afternoon curry with a girlfriend at this near town long established eatery. Chicken Masala, meat massla with Dahl, shami kebab and two cans of pop at less than £26 was value indeed. My meat casals was not to my taste, too much chilli and the meat texture was over cooked. My girlfriend was nit overly impressed with hers either. We both left a lot on our plates. Service was fast and polite, environment was basic, toilets were clean and functional.
