We go a few times a year here and have never had a bad meal. My Mum and Dad have steak which is cooked beautifully exactly as they request it and I’m vegetarian so it’s nice to have a high quality meal together. We always go around 2pm when it’s quiet so can’t comment on the evening ambience. If they have special offers on, you definitely need to book as they get very busy. They’ve never had a problem accommodating my visually impaired Dad, disabled Mum and both my autistic kids. Staff are usually very friendly and efficient.

Birchwood Farm - Dining & Carvery

Helpful and friendly staff\nFood was good, kids portion was big with lots of chips. Carvery was really nice veg cooked perfect and the bloke serving was cutting fat off to peoples preference. It was relaxed and quiet. Can't grumble for the price

Yusuf's Spice Lounge

As someone from Birmingham, I’ve tried countless Indian restaurants and Desi gastropubs, so I tend to have high expectations. While working in Yorkshire, I decided to try a place I found on Uber Eats. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much, as many “Indian” restaurants that aren’t Desi-style mixed grill pubs often disappoint me.

However, this place completely surprised me. The Punjabi-style Prawn Karahi I ordered was one of the best curries I’ve ever had. Huge credit to the chefs and the restaurant for crafting such a fantastic dish.

The only constructive feedback I have would be to use a bit less oil in the curry and perhaps refine the recipe for the mint sauce. While it’s decent, it tastes like a mix of yogurt and store-bought mint sauce.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal, and I’m looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person someday.

Marmaris Grill & Pizza

I love marmiras mixed kebabs or Donner chick shish. Salad sauce rice and warm pitta when it gets delivered. Chilli sauce and garlic mayo both very tasty.. I eat these often?

Really nice food ,, try the Malaysian currys, special salt and pepper box let you change dips ,,cancel things add other things on only need to ask ? duck is beaut and the set meal's are a steal ,, prices have just increased a little but still one of cheapest around without losing the quality , food always hot , sometimes a little busy on a weekend as expected, over an hour delivery but worth the wait, & still always hot ,

Woodview Fish Bar & Kebab House

Great little place, food is nice and staff well presented, the guy who served us had the cleanest nails I've seen on any server, some may say it's a strange comment to come out with but they really stuck out, which speaks volumes for personal hygiene. Will definitely visit again.

Lovley afternoon buffet I to go pizza hut often in different locations and this has been the best customer service by far! Danny was the absolute star of the show! Very friendly and welcoming you don't get many people like that anymore even asked us if we want our pizzas made to what we like 10/10!!

Came into Five Guys today for a meal it was my first time and I have admit I was pleasantly surprised the food was fantastic it was fresh enjoyable and a decent portion. I want to give an extra shout out to Kirstin her customer service was fantastic she was so pleasant and helpful definitely a credit to the company. I can’t wait to come back.

The staff at Taj Mahal are a very lovely group of lads. Lovely family run business. Very welcoming and friendly. Very tasty food ! And very good prices ! Also do great deals for #NHS staff. Highly recommend.

Frankie & Benny's

New Boxing Day tradition found. The place was on the quieter side but all staff had smiles and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Our server was a mix between a young lad in a shirt and a taller lady in cream. Both were always there when we wanted something and checked upon us though out. Can not fault the food, it came out hot (rare this day and age) and fairly quick. The overall experience was a Bargain and great time, will definitely be trying again next year.

We order from here regularly, well, when we get a chinese takeaway that is. It’s often good quality, and we trust that we’ll enjoy our meal. This latest time was impeccable. They’ve upgraded their packaging from the last time we ordered, and their service was fantastic. \n\nThe order came with an item missing, so they had it made and delivered to us within around 10-15 minutes (they even gave us a few cans of soft drink as an extra). All our food came in packaging to keep it fresher and warmer for longer, and it all tasted very good. \n\nLooking forward to continuing to order from here.

Simply the best place you will ever eat. The salt and pepper chicken is warm, spicy, delicious and so good it will send your tastebuds back to outer space. Adeels Fast Food

If having pizza I always order from here as they taste fantastic. Family came over and I ordered from here and they even commented on how tasty the pizzas were. The staff are accommodating for my strange orders too (chicken pizza with no chicken ?). When I was recovering from surgery, delivery bloke even offered to put down wherever would help me. Also the pizza prices are best around!Definately recommend.Vegetarian options: Order any pizza from menu and ask if they'll replace meat with something else ie jalapenos, staff very considerate and helpful.

TGI Fridays - Castleford

The service is always decent at this TGI's and I find the food often comes out quick. The food is consistent at this chain and tends to be tasty and well prepared. Music can be a bit loud at times and it is no doubt that the prices of the food have sky rocketed and become less and less worth it. Thank you to the waiter who gave us lovely service despite it being a busy new years eve shift.

Nando’s. Always great. Quick service. Nice buzz in the place. Excellent food. Was a bit busy but got seated quickly. In a good location with lots of other shops and activity’s to do.

Woodend Traditional Fish and Chips

Fantastic quality fish and chips, the mushy peas were top notch as well! The owner was very polite and helpful whilst we sat in the garden to the rear of the takeaway. Really great value for money, we will look forward to coming back when next in the area.

Starbucks Coffee

Hey, I go to Junction 32 every so often (mainly to the HMV and Cadbury shop). I sometimes stop in this shop for a snack (the choc chip cookies are my favourite lol). There is nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

Blue Ocean Fish Bar

Our very first visit. Only had chips. But. Must say. Absolutely brilliant. We were picking up friends from work. ( live in Huddersfield) . Quick to serve you. Pleasant. Definitely worth another visit.

Starbucks Coffee

I regularly bob in either xscape or junction 32 Starbucks for a coffee! Lovely staff in both stores. Tasty drinks. Prices a tad expensive. Really happy they’ve brought the pumpkin spice latte back early from popular demand but charging £5.65 is ridiculous! You can’t justify spending that much on a coffee! Really not fair to do that to us customers.

New Eastern Court

If you like chinese and can eat plenty this is the place to go. Loads of choice various chicken ,pork,beef options,different rices,noodles,chips,very busy ,there was xmas song playing,lots of friendly staff around taking your plate once youve finshed just go get another clean plate and start again as many times as you wish. We went for 7pm booked a table first,it was very busy ,this isnt fine dining but as i said if you like chinese head here. There were cake type items and ice cream with choc sauce and sweets again help yourself as often as you want.
Definitley recommend,came away full .This is a large restaurant but there isnt masses of parking.

Beautiful restaurant, come here all the time for breakfast and lunch. Gorgeous food, loads of options, especially as a vegetarian. Would be great if they had more lunch veggie options too.

Proper rock pub. The punters made me feel very welcome, the ladies behind the bar were friendly and the atmosphere was ecstatic. Bonus points for the decoration.

What fantastic service we had today ☺️ it was in the 20s and super hot for our little man. The staff were so attentive offering us extra water and checking Teddy was okay. On top of that; the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Excellent iced lattes too!

Toast Coffee House

My mum and I visited this gorgeous little cafe in Normanton. If you’re local to the area, it’s a great little spot for some brunch/lunch and the staff are all really friendly too. The menu isn’t huge but offers a good range of different options that are all very reasonably priced. The cafe is quite small inside but we didn’t struggle to find a seat.
We visited for breakfast. I ordered the banana on toast which came with peanut butter, maple syrup and blueberries. It was definitely the best banana on toast I’d ever had! Being local to the area, I’m surprised I’ve never been here before, I will certainly be returning!

Whitwood Fisheries

Great little chippy, you'll be hard pressed to find one better for the money. Cheap and cheerful but still a quality piece of fish with a nice flavorful crisp batter.
Had fish and chips £5.80 at time or writing at dinner time, that's not a lunch deal that's the price all day long. With a steady stream of customers you know that it must be good.
Definitely be back ?

Oriental Delight

I'm gutted I didn't try here years ago.

Definitely the best chinese in this area... Authentic and fresh.

Highly recommended from myself and will be my go to hopefully for years to come.

Also it has a Fully Open kitchen so can see the food being cooked ... Small detail but it makes a big difference imo.

Judy's Cafe

This is a nice down to earth little cafe with a good atmosphere. The food and drinks are lovely and there are plenty of items to choose from. For me it's the cheese on toast I go for as it's the best cheese on toast I've ever had.

We have used Pizza Prima for many years now. My parents recommended you and now the whole family use you. Always great food. The pizzas, kebab meat and the chicken goujons are our favourite! Have some great offers on too which is a bonus so check them out! Please don't ever move out of Castleford! Even my 4 year old is a Prima fan ??

Orient Delight

We tend to enjoy trying new takeaways, as often we get bored of the same flavours. This is our first time trying Orient Delight, but it won’t be our last.

We order what most would consider, a boring Chinese consisting of noodles, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips and chicken as well as curry sauce. Although most would not eat these together or would consider them sides, we really enjoy the combination. The food we received was honestly some of the best we’ve had. The salt and pepper chicken and chips were amazing, not too spicy but packed with flavour. The noodles and rice were lovely too. It’s very easy for a Chinese to get these wrong as we have noticed before in the Pontefract/Castleford area. Orient Delight did not disappoint.

In addition, we also received free prawn crackers and free vegetable spring rolls which were lovely, they really made the meal.

The people that served my partner were friendly and kind and food was cooked quickly but not too quick as to arise suspicion about whether it has been reheated. Prices were in line with pretty much ever Chinese we’ve tried over the past year, our food cost about £20 ish. We will definitely be ordering again.

Kebab Grill

The best places never deliver. This is one of those places. The kebabs are fabulous. The donor meat is tender and yummy, thin strips with no hard bits of bone, the chicken is tender and flavoursome and the beef is nice. All char grilled right in front of you.
The salad is top notch. Fresh and cut perfectly, serverd with salt and lemon juice. This is always a good sign of a proper kebab house.
If you can buy a kebab from here and not finish it there is something wrong lol I have an eating disorder and I plough these beauties down to the paper, nan and all.
Chilly sauce is beautiful compliment to the meat and veg and a generous amount but you can ask and get it on the side in a tub.
I'm not a kebab meat fan but this place is something different.
If you don't walk or drive down and give this place a try.. your missing out.
Id give ten stars if possible.

Double Dragon

Tonight was the first time I’ve been to Double Dragon in a while but I can honestly say it’s by far the best in Castleford. I had chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice and the sauce was nice and thick consistency and the taste was amazing! Highly

Called in for a couple of breakfasts this morning & I can guarantee that they are the best quality in Castleford, top quality items cooked to perfection, it's well traveling 4 minutes out of town to experience a 100% true English breakfast ?

Greggs at Castleford bus station is amazing!!

The food is amazing,the staff are lovely, but most of all,the convenience!!!

They open super early and close late!!

So if you have a spare 10 minutes for your bus and are feeling peckish or hungry,the Greggs at Castleford bus station is perfect!!

I've ordered breakfast from there twice for when I go on holiday!!

Domino's Pizza - Castleford

My go to Pizza place for delivery. While I've always ordered for the pziza to be delivered, and never actually gone inside this place, I feel like I can share my thoughts on it.After ordering, pizza is made very quickly. Doesn't take long for their online tracker to start updating, and usually the pizzas are very fresh and tasty.Every delivery driver I've had has been great. All of them have been very polite and full of smiles, and on the odd few times the delivery has taken longer than they estimated, they've apologised to me even when I had no issue with the food being late at all.The let down for this place is both the prices and sides. With only ordering for delivery, you can't really use any of their really good deals online. Theres the odd few, but most feel worthless, or only save you a very small amount of money. Sides are very hit or miss, and heavily depend on what you get. For example, their wedges are sometimes soggy and slightly undercooked, whereas their Garlic Bread is usually perfectly cooked and full of flavour.Overall, a pretty solid Domino's. Would recommend if looking for a place to get a very tasty pizza from. While it has its issues, it's a pretty good place.
