Excellent portion size and superb value for money. Fish was generous and cooked perfectly. Would certainly go again and recommend anyone who hasn’t yet tried since the takeover to give Hook of Garforth a go.
Looking forward to calling at Garforth again for fishcake and chips. What a big disappointment they were! Didn't realise the shop had been taken over from the previous owners. As much as the new owners are friendly and polite, I don't recommend having a fishcake from there. It was more like a big potato covered in batter with small (and I mean small) flakes of fish mixed in! You couldn't even taste fish!

I used to use this fish and chip shop about 6 years ago as I worked local to it and when I was in the area recently I thought that I would treat myself to one of their fishcake butties. When I saw it was under new management I was a little disappointed but I can honestly say it was one of the best fishcakes Ive had in a long time if not THE BEST ever. I'll definitely be calling whenever I'm in the area
