Pubs • “This was a chilled pub to visit, set in a vintage layout! The seating and frames on wall best channel this, staff were friendly and the counter is well-presented. It is fantastic that they have original apple cider on draft and my pint was satisfying, tables were clean too!”

Pubs • “Booked a table for 5 of us last minute for a Sunday afternoon roast at beginning of September while staying in a cottage locally. Probably one of the best roasts ever. The beef was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables which were a good selection. The roasties were delicious as was the separate cauliflower cheese. The others all had the Yorkshire pudding wraps which were huge and filled with the delicious beef and two had gammon. We also ordered a doggy Sunday dinner and this came with lots of lovely meat and all the trimmings in the delicious gravy! We forgot to take pics of our meals just the dogs! Service was faultless from start to finish with great staff and beautiful views from our table too. Hopefully will visit Yorkshire and the area again soon and wouldn’t hesitate visiting The Winterburn again. Thoroughly recommended.”
Pubs • “Friendly welcome as we walked in, after a minor mixed up but the landlord was soon on it and got it sorted, we sat in the dog friendly area which was away from other dinners but it wasn’t a problem as it was a nice area, my dog storm got a very warm welcome by staff and was given treats while we dinner… EXCELLENT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We called in for a late lunch on our way home from Manchester, we didn't have a booking but we were fitted in. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious, unlike the usual chain pub food. The surroundings are lovely, will be back next time we go over the Pennines.”
