We visited this wonderful pun on at least four separate occasions during our stay in Hebden Bridge. We en joyed drinks, great meals and excellent service. The pub had an Australian employee who made us coffee as we are used to getting back home..... that is to say top coffee! I don't believe the Brits know what a good "Long Black" is but this fellow did. It was the service provided by him and also the manager that had us return to the venue several times. Wow a £26 set three course meal on one of the busiest days in the area Christmas market.The standard of service was top notch our server(Issac) was absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable of all the menu.The lovely upstairs manageress (redhaired lady) was welcoming and friendly the food was lovely for the price and well presented,The portion control was outstanding well worth the money the actual food was flavoursome and hot,the staff were rushed off their feet 5*****.

Great choice of ale and beers. Booked a table for 2 on a Friday evening and the restaurant area was buzzing, lots of chatter and great atmosphere. We both went for cod and chips served with mushy peas and ordered a side of battered onion rings. The fish was lovely, tasted fresh. Crispy skin on fries. Really enjoyed it and would eat here again on our next visit.
