Came yesterday for the first time, we've been meaning to come for ages. So glad we did, we had curried goat meat plus rice and peas with salad. Oh so nice, we came early so had to wait but it was all freshly made so worth it, dumpling on the side too, forgot that. Staff so lovely, helpful and cheerful, also we had a plate of freshly made chips, not french fries, proper chips. we asked for some more dumplings and they made some extra for us. Stopped off for a meal before a concert at the Victoria. It was wet outside but lovely in the tastefully decorated restaurant. The food was delicious, I recommend the jerk chicken. Large portions and great service.
Romeo and Juliet's has recently reopened as a Caribbean restaurant. We went there before going to the Victoria Theatre, just up the hill. The staff were friendly and helpful and the chef came out to talk us through the menu. We started with a delicious fruit platter followed by a mixed starter with salt fish, crispy chicken, dumpling and plantain.
