Stopped off here for some tea .staff are lovely as is the food .place is lovely so nicely decorated .will defernatly visit again .loved itParking: Found a parking spot although car park not massive .we visited on a Monday so no problem

why 4 for atmosphere. Its packed and some customers are loud.We enjoy every meal here, can't understand 2015 Yorks live report but that was 9 years ago. Some landlords just have the knack to make a successful business. Attention to detail and a fab chef/s.I hearty love the place.Wish a few other pubs wd check it out and copy.

Place and staff were good. My food was overly salty so much so made me nauseous on the way home. Also they made a mistake on out bill by adding the previous people at our table to our bill. They obviously did correct and were very apologetic. Unfortunately not a great experience probably won't go back.

Our first time at this excellent pub… first the criticisms as a real ale pub please stop putting a head on the cider !Now for the good . Food excellent chicken suvalaki and chicken leak pie both with beef dripping cooked chips the suvalaki with Greek salad . Good great just pints of cider with a head on a bit weird but it’s Yorkshire ?

We have dined here a few times, always a great selection of foods from the main menu to the special boards, all cooked to a very high standard, great selection of drinks from the bar,with a guest beer every week.Food of high quality at a great price.Always treated respectfully, great place to try.

I should have listened to the lady on the next table who said the portions were really good, but eyes bigger than belly got the better of me! The food and service was excellent, but if you want starters and puddings, unless you are really, really hungry, the retro menu (designed for smaller appetites) is probably enough - and even those portions were good! Good range of alcohol free drinks which is always very welcome! First time visit, but we will definitely be back.
