After been unable to get tickets for play offs we decided to still make a day of it and after googling some pubs we decided on The Vulcan and so glad that we did. Short walk from train station and several tv's to watch sky sports. Within a short time we felt like one of the locals. Dropped in for a warm and pint whilst visiting Huddersfield. The bar was busy with people enjoying themselves in an unpretentious way, and easy to converse with. Lots of TV to watch sport too. Beer was good and very affordable.

My first visit for a few years as it’s on the way to the football. Refurbished and a good effort, clean and smart but still the same welcome as before. Choice of real ales and sadly all blonde/IPA on my visit but well kept. Still fantastic value including large filled rolls. Recommended.
