The food and experience here was amazing. However, we did have one issue which slightly marred our experience. We chose to go on a Thursday to have the cheaper menu. We were called in the day and said we'd like to have this menu, and were told that was fine. But when we got there we were told they'd run out and only the expensive menu was available so we had no choice. For a start this feels like a restaurant aimed at a younger age group. The music is loud (it drowned the comments by our wine waiter, but not our conversation at the table.) We enjoyed the taster menu which is remarkable value for money. You can pay a lot more for food that is a lot less good than this. We came to Chef Jono for my boyfriend’s birthday and had the tasting menus: regular for me and pescatarian for him.All of the dishes were an explosion of flavours and creativity. The staff were very attentive (a signed menu for my boyfriend as a birthday gift, a wave goodbye from chef Jono himself when we left) and considering the number and the quality of dishes you get the price wasn’t over the top. We had a great time and a fantastic culinary experience. Thank you.
