Fantastic place. Definitely worth a visit coming from Sheffield. Lovely Sunday dinner & gravybwas so tasty, finished off with a very tasty sticky toffee pudding. Everything was spot on & big compliments to the chefs as they were short staffed. Will definitely be back when in the area again.
We visited here on the recommendation of the owner of our accommodation. It made for a lovely walk, and we took our dog with us. This meant we had to sit in the downstairs area of the pub (or outside, of course, if we'd wanted to), which wasn't a problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the drinks choice good. One of the best Sunday roasts me and my dad have had, accompanied by a great range of wonderful beers. We went for the slow cooked pork shoulder and the beef brisket roast, both of which were super tender and fell apart in your mouth. Can’t wait to go back.
