This is a review of ‘The Place To Eat’ on the top floor of John Lewis Leeds which is the main eaterie. (Not the Benugo cafe on the lower floor) .I picked up a fruit scone (in sealed cellophane) to go with my pot of tea. Didn’t realise, until I’d paid and sat down with it, that there was a small handwritten label on the back: ‘Frozen 24/7/23 [yesterday]- Thawed 25/7/23 [today]’. Poor sandwiches at top price's...We visited this cafe about a week ago and asked for some fresh sandwiches because the ones on display looked terrible. The reply was "No, we don't make fresh sandwiches here". They were certainly right with that statement.

Good place to have a coffee brake but the coffee quality for what I’m coming isn’t there!!!Coffee to hot as temperature and the flavour doesn’t seems to convince me I’m drinking a good and rich coffee…Hmmm disappointed for sure
