Just called in a old pub i used to go to and found its under new management what a lovely friendly landlady made me feel very welcome and the ale was spot on nice relaxing background music and a friendly regular clientele and dog friendly in the tap room and does a set menu Friday Saturday Sunday I highly recommend a visit to the local carlton Village pubs i will definitely call again

We went there for the first time the other week and had a great experience sat outside with our dog in the sun. The new land lady brought over treats and water for our dog and the pints were great!We went again last night on a Friday night with our dog in the tap room and it was one of the best nights we've had in ages and the beers again were great!Great staff and really friendly atmosphere! We will definitely be going back and are glad to call it our new local.

It's what you would call a traditional pub. Lovely friendly staff. Excellent beers and lager. Very reasonably priced too. We were in the lounge as a group of 8 on a Saturday night. It was fine early doors but they have a good set of regulars which means it gets busy later on. There was plenty of room still in the bar area but it got to feel like we were sat in the regular's seats in the lounge, not the pub's fault, but something to bear in mind when choosing which side to sit...read full review
