Monday lunch, very quiet.Pie crust was edible but very hard.Gammon was OK, though smaller than I expected. Never had gravy served with Gammon and chips ( it was in a jug).Originally ordered Sausage and Mash. No mash available, definitely a first for me.
We weren't looking for this pub, we sort of found it by accident. What a lucky find, we were cold and needed somewhere to warm up. This pub is lovely and comfortable, with nooks and crannies in which to sit and chat over a drink. There is a very good selection of beers, cocktails and other drinks available from friendly bar staff. The menu looked very good, so we will definitely be going back to try the food. Our dog was welcome too, thanks

Decent Sunday roast. However didn't get a good first impression. Tried calling to inform that we will be late for our reservation but nobody picked up the phone. when we arrived a staff commented to another that we were late. The other tables were mostly empty.
