Returned after a few months to find things have really improved. Greeted as soon as we arrived and who I presume was the manger could not do enough to help.We tried the Gyros, myself having Pulled Beef Brisket and my wife the Chicken and Chorizo, with a side of Halumi fries. The food was excellent and we will be returning again.
I went to the Cross Keys for lunch with my stepdaughter. I ordered hunters chicken and she ordered lasagne. My chicken was moist and the bacon was thick sliced so it was really filling with the chunky chips. My stepdaughter’s lasagne was a thick/deep portion, not the sort of thin, floppy lasagne you get in some places. She said it was delicious. We both really enjoyed our meals and will be going again.

Has apparently just started doing lunches - so it was a bit quiet when we arrived at 12.15pm. Filled up a bit as time went on.The service was really good - very friendly staff. The food was amazing gastro-pub fare. I can recommend the Roast of the Day - the beef was thick, generous and tender. My companion had the cajun chicken sandwich with chips. With 3 diet cokes total price was less than £25 as there's currently a 20% discount. Will definitely go again.
