The staff were friendly and chatty though which was a bonus. Coffee and iced tea were good. Scone not so much - one side was hot and the other cold.

There were 12 of us in total, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating. All our meals arrived together, which was really impressive, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and everyone left very full and happy!\nThe atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, making it the perfect place for a family gathering. The Thirsty Man, 79 Old Bank Rd, MirfieldWe chose Capri Mirfield as the venue for our wedding party because we preferred the menu in comparison to other venues, knew the food would be excellent from our previous visits to various Capri restaurants, and appreciated that the venue could accommodate up to 100 guests indoors. However, when we visited in person, we were even more impressed—not only by the decor but also by the exceptional service we received from Sergio. He was approachable, helpful and took the time to answer all our questions, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. The most important factor for us in choosing a venue was the quality of the food, and Capri Mirfield exceeded all expectations on the night. We lost count of how many guests complimented the food—it was truly outstanding! Beyond the delicious food, the service was impeccable. The staff in the function room went above and beyond to ensure we had the best night. Nothing was too much trouble; they were all friendly, attentive and always on hand for anything we needed. At the end of the night, they even insisted on handling all the cleanup, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. With ample parking, a great selection of drinks and a fantastic atmosphere, Capri Mirfield is a perfect choice for any celebration. We highly recommend their function room for anyone looking to host an event, and we’ll definitely be back to dine again soon. Thank you for making our wedding party so special!

Arrived early afternoon just as a singer was about to start. And there's a monthly street food stall outside. This time serving Indian food
The interior of 3 rooms, has some interesting old features including metal crib boards inlaid in some tables.
Very relaxed atmosphere. In Winter the interior will be a very cosy retreat.
Well worth a short diversion out of Milfield.

Victoria Sponge & Treacle Sponge for after- (the owner had baked 12 cakes) All home cooked 5 star food & served by a lovely lady & the owner Catherine who clearly bakes with love. Dave & Linda x

An it’s got a great lil restaurant serving home cooked meals that are really tasty

There was a few of us so we tried a large portion of the menu an it was all good

There’s also a great selection of drinks
An that terrace will be bob on in the summer

The Old Colonial
Dunbottle Ln, MirfieldVery decent pub, but with only a handful of customers and out of six handpumps only one in action I thought it was going to be dire night. But after my first excellent pint of ale people started to come in for what looked like some beautifully cooked home food, which was very reasonably priced indeed and a few drinks, then everyone got chatty so ended up having a good night. Mirfield is without doubt the world's friendliest place. I originally gave it two stars for atmosphere but altered it later when it got busy.
