Thompson's Yard, New St, OssettWe went to celebrate a birthday. Took flowers and balloons, nothing was too much trouble. Had a lovely table all laid out when we arrived. We even had fairy lights down the middle of the table. Food was amazing and so attentive to us all. Every meal was delicious, hot and perfectly cooked. Thank you for making our special celebration one to remember.

Absolutely incredible value for money – three courses for just £29! Every dish was exceptional, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The staff were warm, attentive, and really made the whole evening enjoyable. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers both top-quality food and such great service at this price. Highly recommend – I’ll definitely be returning!

Queens Drive Fish & Chips
123-125 Queen's Dr, OssettVisited on Monday (21/10/24) with Yorkshire Rose Holidays Coach company.
We were finishing our day out with fish and chips.
On arrival we were made to feel very welcome,
Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble,
I was able to have sausage instead of Fish.
We also had bread and butter. Option of mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy.there was also a choice of pudding, jam sponge and custard, again I was able to have ice cream instead.
A special mention to Leanne,
Leanne really looked after us went above and beyond.
Would highly recommend and will visit again. 10 out of 10.

The Thorn Tree, Pub & Kitchen
15 Queen St, OssettWas not happy with the table seating , very cramped in the corner of the room for 4 adults , I thought the seating was better before you changed it , but we did spot another table not in use so asked for that one and staff were accommodating and moved us , we also waited for over an hour for our food which we were not warned about , when the food came it was lovely 5 stars for that .

187 Dewsbury Rd, OssettMy mate come round to fix our boiler, treated him to some food. He fancied donner meat and chips and a cheesy garlic bread. Never been to Babylon pizza before. Went in and ordered, very clean and staff was very friendly, they said 10 minutes so we said we would wait in the van and keep a look out for when it was ready. We got deep into conversation and they brought it over to the van and knocked on van window. We thanked them highly for bringing it over to us. Got back and my mate said it was one of the best Donner meat and chips with all the sauces and salad he had tasted in ages. We shared the cheesy garlic bread and it was very nice, thanks lads for a great service and a great meal,

70 Prospect Rd, OssettThought I'd get a cooked chicken from the supermarket. No such luck but then I remembered Chicken Hut!
I explained I needed breast meat particularly and got an 8 piece bucket for £17. Lovely chicken, hot wings, 4 X chips and bottle of Coke.

Adding free prawn crackers and fortune cookies is a lovely touch as well. I dropped a star because the chips are usually slightly dry x

The Best Kebab & Pizza House
29 Towngate, OssettThe food that I had today from the best kebab house in osset was amazing I definitely recommend other people to go there I tried a Donna kebab in pitta and my mum and dad got the same with a tub of garlic mayo sauce as well, it was so nice I definitely recommend other people to go there and the service was quick and easy too.

41 Dale St, OssettStopped in after work on a whim as my bus hadn't shown, easy to order and pay, didn't have to wait long and the food was piping hot. Got home and ate and both my husband and I are impressed.
Plenty big enough portions, sauces were absolutely delicious and we are both stuffed.
Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Low Mill Rd, OssettFriendly pub , situated in Osset a small mining town in West Yorkshire, and you can tell. Everything about this pub screams Yorkshire. From the ales, the decor and the friendly staff members, not to mention the most Yorkshire sounding Quizmaster.
Me and friends often frequent the pub for the pub quiz, which is a great old-fashioned style pub quiz btw, with 40 questions across multiple topics and half time food.
Highly recommend you pop in and give their pizzeria a go, as they do some wonderful pizza-oven stone baked pizzas.

14 Station Rd, OssettI’ve been a regular at Ella’s for a few years now. The food & coffee are excellent, it had a cosy relaxed atmosphere, where importantly the music isn’t too loud ( sounds trivial, but it’s nice to be able to hear your own thoughts!)
Ella’s, is a little gem, but don’t tell everyone! Otherwise, I’ll never get a window seat! ?

The food is 10/10 the range of menu options and specials is spot on , I have something different each week and never disappoint, compliments to the chef for that. However I do have to fight my way in to get a seat which is the only minor inconvenience, the cafe its self always smells nice, decorated very modern and the chairs are comfortable. The staff are very polite, kind and respectful, they knew Exactly what to do when I mentioned I had a nut allergy which is always reassuring. Can’t wait to try another main from the specials!

Dale St, OssettWas in Ossett to have a tattoo at Ashes Rise Tattoo Studio and was advised to have a substantial meal prior to the tattoo, so this being a 2 minute stroll away I chose here.
Glad I did, lovely cosy cafe, all staff smiling and helpful. Ordered a large breakfast and large it definitely was too. Proper butchers sausages, nice thick bacon. Everything was lovely, was definitely substantial as I couldn't finish it lol. Definitely come again prior to next tattoo, or even if visiting Ossett.

I get that it's meant to encourage conversation, but I got told off for trying to check the bus times to see if I had time to buy another pint. It's also hypocritical to then accept payments via phone contact less function. I admit I usually do this to be passive aggressive. Lol

Dewsbury Rd, OssettFantastic service tonight. We rang and preordered our food and even thought it was very close to closing they were more than happy to fulfil our order and cook our food fresh. We were greeted with smiles and freshly made food. Service was excellent and even though the food had just been made it wasn't greesy and the batter was light and crunchy. Decent portions too and really competitive prices. Will definitely be recommending

31-33 Bank St, OssettAs visitors to Ossett it was Hobson's choice as far as eating was concerned as it was the only sit-in restaurant open on a Sunday evening. All ended well though: the staff were polite and friendly, the restaurant clean and the food freshly prepared, tasty & good value (price per head includes a bottle of house wine & dessert)

Unit 3, Dickinson House, OssettWe had the salt and pepper chicken sandwiches and steak fries today and although they have changed the menu since the last time we came the food is still worth the 154-mile round trip when we need a bank street top up! the food is always amazing and the staff are really friendly and yes sometimes it is busy and you have to wait a little longer for your food but what do you expect when everything is cooked fresh and tastes fabulous well done guys can't wait for my next visit!!
