Hadn't been to Al Jamil since lockdown as we usually use their takeaway service as the food is always good. Called in for a meal with friends on 18th February and the waiters have changed. New staff couldn't be friendlier attentive, and polite. Great experience and the usual high standard of food with a great selection to choose from.
Visited on a Saturday evening and there were about half the tables available. The waiters were very friendly and came to check everything was OK several times during our meal. The food was very tasty and very good value. Two great visits here and will go back next time we're in Pontefract. They did say from February it won't be licensed so will be BYOB.

Authentic and very tasty Balti cooking with attentive, warm and friendly restaurant staff. Two starters and two mains with a family naan was sufficient for a hungry family of four. Will definitely eat here again when we’re next in Pontefract. Highly recommended ????
