Bit of a mixed bag, really. We went on a Saturday just after the lunch rush. Servers were friendly, although I see what others mean about the manger. Service was quick and the café was a pleasant place. We ordered a couple of deserts, a coffee and hot chocolate. It was generally a nice experience with a few points of improvement needed.The waffle was nice but was 90% ice cream and squirty cream, so felt a bit meh. We were hesitant to try this place as they had some bad reviews a year ago but I am really glad we made up our own mind because the food was excellent and high quality (especially the full breakfast), reasonably priced, good quick service (although it wasn't very full at the time we visited) and very welcoming.We will be going again :)Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to our kids needs

This was exactly what we needed today. A dog friendly space with home cooked tasty food, served quickly and with a smile. The wind outside was howling and it was like a little sanctuary. Well placed cakes tempted us to stay for a bit longer too - best decision ever. The scones came out warm and we will be back for afternoon tea in the New Year!
