I once met Sir Terry Pratchett and during our conversation he told me The Queen's Head was his favourite pub. I immediately decided that should the opportunity arise, I would visit The Queen's Head for a pint. Well thank you Sir Terry and thank you Queen's Head for living up to the recommendation. We recently moved to a village a few miles away and despite having three closer pubs we absolutely love the Queens Head, our dogs are always made welcome, the staff are lovely, food is always amazing and “proper “ home made food, however, for us it’s that it still remains a real pub, we can sit at the bar and enjoy a drink and a chat. Please don’t change.

Only called in for lunch, so no idea about the rooms, but given the experience we had I would expect they’re good. Lunch was excellent as was the service. Will be calling in again.Food & drinks: Great and varying menu using local in season food, everything we ate was delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. The drinks were good too.
