Booked a table for five for Sunday lunch. Shown to a very nice window table in a newly decorated separate room off the main bar. Met the chef and the landlords and another very friendly family who were already seated. The servers were attentive and diligent. The owners were chatty and welcoming. The food was straightforward pub fare, but absolutely delicious - and we all tucked into the courtesy parsnip crisps (even the kids, which was a rarity). We visited for dinner while staying in the area. Lovely pub with a really warm welcome. Really friendly atmosphere and ambience. The landlords were such lovely people. The food was spectacular - we had the pie and the fish and chips. Huge portion and delicious! We would love to return!

We have lived in the village for 30 years and love the new landlords.My 94 year old dad and his partner stayed on Friday… Tom made sure they got a ground floor room. Dinner was lovely, the place is warm, friendly and now buzzing with enthusiasm.They were cosy and slept well, breakfast was exactly what they wanted and even a present for the birthday girl!We have our village pub back! ❤️
