First visit was Boxing Day with family for a Carvery. The place was busy but we were quickly shown to a table and a lady was soon at our table to take our order. The food was perfect (I had the Turkey & Gammon) and there was plenty of it. I returned this morning 10.1.24 with my wife for breakfast. We paid the last at the bar (same lady!) the meat was really good BUT roast potatoes are so important to a roast and they were poor. I don't think they were par boiled and ruffled first properly. were also whole not halved which overall meant there was no crispy external and the potatoes lumpy texture. spoilt the
We were a party of 9 and chose here as its halfway for both parties.First time for all of us and we were all very happy with firstly the great friendly greeting at the door and our waitress was happy, patient and kept us topped up and very well looked after.Bit of a queue for the carvery, took this as a good sign.The meat selection was very good and very good portions dished out.Tip from me, if you're in a big party all queue at the same time.Will be back soon, keep up the good...read full review
