On a brief visit to this beautiful place, we stumbled across Merchants Fish Bar. All we can say is you MUST call in and have something to eat there?.Its very clean and plenty of space for you to eat in or take out.The staff are extremely friendly and more than helpful and accommodating.We had fish and chips, the fish was amazingly light, tasty and very LARGE. Excellent fish & chips. As good as at the seaside :). Friendly staff and quality fish and chips. Can’t really ask more than that from a chippy. Oh, builders brew as requested. Perfect!

Really good fish and chips, I went for the Haddock which was so big it wouldn't even fit in the box. Great mushy peas and curry sauce.Everything seemed to be cooked to order and was piping hot.There is a sit down restaurant but we got a takeaway to sit by the river.Good value for money too!
