Called in for lunch here as the SVR food and drink is appalling. Nice friendly staff. We ordered fish and chips with peas and a can of pop. The food was bought to our table with salt and vinegar plus cutlery. The table was nice and clean and the whole place spotless. The food was excellent hot and tasty and lots of it. Really pleased. I ordered doner meat and chips. The donor meat was tasty and well seasoned but the chips were bland and undercooked. The place was busier due to an event at the Severn Valley Railway so we’re probably rushing the cooking of the chips. There was no crisp to them as you’d expect with a fried product so I ended up throwing most of them away. The staff were however lovely but when a chip shop can’t get chips right - it can’t be higher than 3/5 stars I’m afraid.

Had dairy free amd gluten free fish and chips in batter this evening. Really tasty piece of fish, chips were great too. Wonderful service, would definitely recommend.Dietary restrictions: Great for vegan and coeliac diets.
