Wonderful pub run by passionate people. Always a great selection of well kept ales with a varied choice of lagers and spirits. Recently refurbished, log fires in Winter, very large clean sun trap of a beer garden and dog friendly too! What more could you want! They will soon be serving hot/cold food too! If you are staying at the Travelodge this gem is a few minutes walk up Park Lane, and is very near to the town centre. Avoid the chains and support local. You will not be disappointed....read full review
Down to earth pub. Hosts Marie and Neil very welcoming as were the regulars. Cheap no nonsense food. Coffee is instant - a fact they're proud of. We liked their honesty. Sky sports on multiple TVs. Big garden going down to canal.
