The King and Castle sits on the Kidderminster end of the Severn Valley Railway but you don't have to be a heritage railway fan to enjoy the atmosphere of this great pub. They have a very good selection of real ale, including my favourite, Bathams Bitter.The only let down was the inattentive and slow pair of bar staff, completely lacking in personality, who didn't keep an eye on the order of waiting customers, just serving whoever was in front of them. Absolutely superb Victorian building pub where you can soak in the atmosphere of the golden age of steam - and sample some cracking real ales. A gem of a pub that is a credit to the area.
