We visited for lunch on an experience voucher but were welcomed and made to feel special. The ‘experience’ that we had was exceptional. Every member of staff were so attentive and happy! Everyone seemed genuinely cheerful, happy and pleased to make sure that we had a great time. As for the food, exceptional. Every dish was immaculate and tasted beautiful. What a brilliant evening. Firstly the team working there were- to a person- outstanding. They were helpful, knowledgeable and paced the service delivery wonderfully. They weren’t fawning but showed their personalities and took time to talk and guide us in our choices. A superb team who are clearly happy and proud to work there. A warm welcome. A truly scrumptious Scotch egg and the best fish & chips ever. The fish was plentiful, moist and flaky. The batter was light & crispy and not at all greasy. Chips were superb - crispy with fluffy potato, well-seasoned and delicious. Loved the mushy peas, curry sauce & chip dip. Will be back!
