Sometimes, in this world of gastro pubs and themed places, you struggle to find a great, British pub that just serves great beer, and plain satisfying food. Bit of a scruffy looking place but food looked very good, although what we chose was over cooked - shame. It is incredibly cheap compared with nearby pubs. Presentation was not good though. Baguettes were served on a small plate without any garnish or accompanying crisps etc. My colleague asked for mustard and was given an already open shop bought jar. Goodness knows how many people had already stuck their dirty cutlery into the jar. He didn't fancy adding his knife into it. My...read full review
My friend and I met up there, after not seeing each other for about 40 years. The lady there made us feel so at home, looked after us nicely, I was very glad we chose to meet up there. We shall return.
