Didn't barely notice the place as I went past but popped in for a quick pint and ended up there all day, chatting to anyone and everyone. Really shocked as it is only a small place but it was so friendly and welcoming I will be drinking there again soon!
For some reason, I didn't know there was a bar here. The Wishing Well is an inconspicuous little one-unit drinking room in a row of shops. It has just a few generic taps, so it's a micropub in size and atmosphere but not in ales (no casks). I bought a bottle of Bud to drink on a pavement table outside. True locals pub created from an old shop premises on the Oxford Road. Limited seating but attractive pricing with frequent specials and attentive staff. Can get high energy in the evenings (for good and for bad) but it's a well run pub that's worth dropping by, where locals are happy to chat. Likeable place that I pop in when I'm nearby.
