From the outside when we first arrived we thought whoa this is going to be noisy. Broad Leys is on a busy main road with a garage on one side and a police station on the other. However we were pleasantly surprised when we entered the bar. Sympathetically restored with a lot of original features giving an overall feel of warmth and welcome. We booked our work Christmas meal for the Wednesday lunchtime the week before Christmas. The supervisor, Chloe, was very friendly and accomdating. All our meals, for every course, arrived together (we were a group of 14) and service was prompt. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were good. The atmosphere was very relaxed and all the staff were polite, helpful and happy. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable time. I visited recently with a friend who needed good facilities for clinically vulnerable. They could not do enough to accommodate us and made us feel so welcome. My friend felt so relaxed and so we'll be going back in two weeks.
