Lots of fun pictures and posters up on the walls, and an open pizza oven kitchen make this a place with lots of atmosphere and aive never had anything less than brilliant service - they were as accommodating to an 18th birthday party as they were to a family or couples...
They do takeaways too, and puddings are not to be missed either with tiramisu to die for an a very very good lemon sorbet.

Matilda’s Bistro Cafe
30 High St, Great MissendenIf you’re a biker passing through, this place is perfect — it easily accommodates groups of 3–4 motorcycles. Located right by the road, it’s an amazing spot. The staff and service were excellent. We enjoyed watching our bikes while also catching a motorcycle race on screen, which made the experience even more special.
It’s also a great stop for those coming from longer rides. The atmosphere is calm, with outdoor benches where you can sit and relax comfortably. Plus, they have restrooms available, which is always a big plus on the road. Highly recommended!

99 High St, Great MissendenLovely cafe located in Great Missenden (a short walk from the Roald Dahl museum). There was no seating inside the cafe however there was a small lunch bar area outside the cafe. The stools were very wobbly and didn’t feel safe to be sitting on them. We took our lunch to the museum.
We decided to have baguette and a sandwich for my child. The ham was lovely and thick cut, and looked like proper ham, rather than the stuff you can buy for cheap. I had a tuna and cucumber baguette which was tasty, and hit the spot. It wasn’t overfilled and it wasn’t underfilled, the cucumber was fresh and cold. The only downside was that the baguette seemed like it was one of those part-baked baguettes you can buy. If it had been a fresh home made baguette, this would have made the lunch 10/10! A nice selection of walker’s crisps and drinks choices.

The staff are so welcoming, especially Darcy, she always brings a small to our faces with her happy energy. The food is 10/10, always fresh and tasty ?. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The beer is also nice and cheap ?

Friendly, helpful staff, great food.
I visit for coffee and cake, sometimes breakfast! It never disappoints, though at busy times you will need to book!

The batter was crispy and just perfect while the staff are always friendly and efficient. There was a lovely atmosphere as we waited a short time for our meals to be ready. Highly recommended!

Aylesbury Rd, Great MissendenA lovely old village pub serving great food and excellent selection of beers . Very friendly staff and great service . The BBQ was superb , sat in the large garden with a pint and a burger , absolutely superb .
They do camping too , a large field ,so lots of space and not crowded , and at £10 a night , you can't go wrong .

40 High St, Great MissendenCute and quaint country pub, evening food served from 5.30pm and we ate 3 different dishes; fish & chips, pie of the week and pork belly and all were equally delicious! Highly recommend for a drink and bite to eat when in the area and we’ll be back next time we visit the roald Dahl museum.

Bryants Bottom Rd, Great MissendenLovely pub in Bryant's Bottom. Great place for a country pub and a nice pint (they sell Hawkstones and Rebellion, a local micro brewery in Marlow), and the food was gorgeous (we had the Sunday roast). Well worth a visit!
