Excellent setting, lovely clean restaurant, with friendly staff. We booked a table for 2 and had a nice table in a corner booth. It was the £19.17 set menu, which we didn't realise when we booked, but it was good value and they had a good selection of food. What we didn't realise was some of the meals had a supplement, which was on the menu but it was a bit dark and so small, we couldn't see this. So at the end of the night it wasn't really £19.17. Beautiful decor and bar. Professional service but functional rather than friendly. Busy lunchtime buzz. Fish and chips generally good but one of the party had very soggy batter- needed more cooking in hotter oil.Peas are crushed garden peas- real mushy peas are dried peas cooked and mashed. The occasion was enjoyable and quite expensive. Will visit again but a few tweaks needed.

Fabulous '1917' evening celebration, with amazing live music and very good value set menu. I didn't catch our waiters name, but he was lovely and very knowledgeable. We ordered quite a few cocktails (some not on the menu) which where all fantastic! The Ivy should host more of these evenings as it was great fun and a very jolly atmosphere.
