Delicious meal here tonight - we really enjoyed the food which was beautifully cooked and presented - the mussels were just the best. Also a lovely little snug for a tipple before heading back to our hotel. Definitely the highlight of our visit to Cookham.
Brilliant gastro pub - superb food, delightful atmosphere, good service. Not cheap, but good value considering the superlative quality. Incredible wine list, excellent draught ales. One of the oldest coaching inns in England. Cosy venue with low wooden beams, roaring fire, selling food and drinks. Service is good, but can get quite busy and cramped at the bar. But I would recommend visiting for the atmosphere and quiet fire side chats.
