We decided to try this restaurant because it sounded different. I was slightly perturbed by the reviews talking about unpleasant staff, but I can start by saying we were treated very well by all of the staff and the menu was quite extensive. The food was generally fairly good and I would certainly say it is worth a try, but I would like to make the following points: On the plus side the Dosa (large thin wafers that you have with chutney), along with their equivalent of naan bread...read full review

The Banana Leaf restaurant dosa are all DE-licious. Lamb masalla, paneer or vegetable - and their arrival is theatrical. Start at both ends as a starter by dipping hot, crisp dosa. Then the remaining main course is even better. As good as meal as can find elsewhere in Cambridge. Great value and a friendly, welcoming place too.
