Lovely historic, deceptively large welcoming pub with nooks and crannies and a traditional menu. We ate the burgers - beef and chicken - and macaroni cheese. Good value and excellent quality. Best thing was the hispi cabbage - absolutely delicious. Would recommend for a cold winter’s evening of cosy drinking and comforting food that won’t break the bank.
The Eagle is a historical cosy pub in Cambridge with great atmosphere. It was very busy for a Thursday lunch time and the vibe was buzzing. An interesting pub with tons of history. Food was delicious and delivered promptly..I had the fish and chips which was a good size and cooked well and my husband had The Special of Pulled Beef Cottage pie which he said was very tasty. Great pub, good choice of beers and ales and good food but lets not forget what this bar is about. RAF and USAF crew stood here perhaps enjoying a drink before going off on their last mission. Definitely worth a visit
