Greeted warmly which makes a pleasant change from other venues. I was offered a variety of choices. Without being pushed (very professional) I settled in a very comfortable, supremely clean spot. Clean toilets, I’m funny about that… Music was appropriate, and an open fire just added to the whole great atmosphere. Then, out of nowhere. Came a taster of Chefs homemade Christmas Cheesecake. Had a great experience on a Friday evening with family! Turned up at 5pm on a sunny Friday afternoon, two adults and two children. Kids had a great time on the garden play equipment. The menu had pub classics and kids favourites. The food was well cooked and served promptly. Good deserts too. Good range of ales and lagers in excellent condition! We visited for the first time in over 10-years, on Friday afternoon (11th August).We sat outside in the garden. The food came out to us in reasonable time and was as expected, if slightly on the small side, portion-wise.What was a bit of a surprise was the cost of a pint of Guiness and a single Gin and Tonic - over £13.
