Nice warm welcome after a long drive, lovely room. Back to the bar where we received great service. Excellent food in the restaurant all served by a delightful young waitress. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast the following morning. Many and I mean many places could learn from the team working that night, they were all exceptional hence why I asked for their names.....we had a great stay, thank you Jess, Brad and Jemma
The Merlin has a great menu and the food delivers, expectations met. In fact we sent a thank you to the chef because both our meals were so good. The waiting on staff were good too. We got the impression that they are a happy team. A card we were handed yesterday said the chefs were Brad and Annie whilst the waiting on staff were Raff and Nicole. Thanks guys.

Excellent Sunday Lunch, The restaurant was very busy, we were warming greeted by Annie, who showed us our table, she was very professional and friendly. We ordered the vegetarian roast, it was absolutely delicious. Rounded off by the apple and plum crumble with custard. A very enjoyable afternoon lunch. Highly recommended
