Fish and batter were great. However the chips, mostly small bits were not that great and the peas were awful. The lady who served me was very nice. The restaurant looks like the rest of the town, worn out and seen better days.
A former National Fish & Chip Shop of the Year (as Les’s Fish Bar in 1999), the quality of the food is still excellent. Value is great too. A huge plate of cod and chips in the sit-down table service restaurant is just £10.50 (January 2024). Unfortunately, like most towns, Crewe is a bit run-down now, with most of the units in the Victoria Centre empty and even Poundland (formerly Virgin and Woolworths) closed. Fish strips were really nice, thin crispy batter and the chips were among the best I have tasted. Will come back again.Vegetarian options: Jacket potatoes, veggie burger, sandwiches, c&o fryit.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu for 12 and under
