The Golden Pheasant is an oasis of calm. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is great - loved the fact that dogs are allowed in the bar area and in winter months, there's always a fire. The rooms are spacious, clean and ultra comfortable and loved the vintage wooden furniture with crisp linen sheets, heated towel rails and all the mod cons! Great location near Plumley Station and near family friends. Open log fires, homely ambience, and the restaurant was decorated so tastefully for the Christmas period. The food was fresh and very filling. Stayed upstairs in the hotel for two nights, great customer care, and friendly staff.
