We had a great evening, again another great pub ? there is a new landlady and the food is generous and good, last week they fitted a log burner, got rid of the pool table and 2 sofas and a large rug are now in the place, this is now a cosy warm space, the pub is large and can accommodate a good number of people, there's a good variety of wines, ales, and other beer and larger's, the shipyard IPA is a favourite, there is a small bar area with tables and an open fire, there's also...read full review
We visited Rainow as tourists from 13th-14th September and attended the pub both days. On the first day (Wednesday) we joined in on a Pub Quiz and on the second day we both had fish and chips. The staff/owner here are very friendly and welcoming and it has a lovely local atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the food was nice (fish and chips and a starter of olives). First time visiting since the new landlady took over this lovely village pub and wasn't disappointed.The menu is small but with good options, also a children's menu, I had the chicken curry, and my husband had the fish & and chips, which was a generous portion, mine had plenty of chicken.Reasonably priced, good atmosphere, lovely landlady, will definitely be repeat customers.
