“Lovely local with great staff. Chris is brilliant especially. Nothing is ever to much trouble for him. Food is amazing especially the cookie dough it’s to die for. Great choice of beers, fridges always full. Complete turn around from the previous landlady.”

Pubs • “Lovely old building, had a quiet pint with the mrs and a great nights sleep, i definitely prefer this over the travel lodge. The service was amazing and the room is closer to town and has a warmer more archaic feel to it, we didn't get to thank the staff as we had to leave early but I hope they know how appreciated their amenities were 10/10 will definitely be visiting again

“Very welcoming as a lone diner. Excellent food, credit to the chef and staff here. The pie was delicious and it was lovely for the chef to come over to check if I was enjoying it, that’s unusual given most chefs hide away in the kitchen not to be seen, but a very nice touch from the chef. I highly recommend the homemade cheese & onion pie. Overall 10/10 and will definitely come back again to try the other pies. Thanks”
