Well, I don't normally go out of my way to write a review but... My experience could be explained in one word (not the minimum 100 characters!).... Amazing Had a little wait but this was expected because I could actually see how busy this pub was! Food came as expected and came within a good time too... The staff here are all amazing and work hard too! Not to single anyone out but "Emma" is so dedicated to this pub and with her experience here, certainly a niche talent in hospitality.......read full review

3 out of our meals we're great however the Mushroom Bourgignon Wellington no little to no filling which was incredibly disappointing. Pub was very quiet yet a couple was placed right next to us and in a very quiet pub it was overbearing. If the pub had been busy it would not have impacted but felt very overheard.

Having posted a negative review 2 days ago, today’s is very positive. My partner and I visited the Blue Cap for lunch and had a far more enjoyable experience. The food was very good and service excellent! ( to the extent that I was given a pot of golden beetroot by the chef to take home, because I mentioned to the waitress - Stacy - that I enjoyed it, having never tasted it before). Would highly recommend!
