It’s becoming increasingly difficult these days to find pubs that offer a warm welcome, good service and great food - but this one certainly does. Booked online for a table for me and my elderly black lab. When we arrived, our muddy paws were made very welcome from the minute we walked in. Called in after walking the dog for the meal and drink for £10 and wasn’t disappointed. Portioned are just right for the cost. I had veg and chickpea soup which was really nice with a honey roast ham sandwich and a glass of wine, it was delicious. My husband had the ham egg and chips with a pint. We didn’t intend to have dessert but were relaxed and comfortable so had apple strudel and custard and I had the mini crumble with ice cream and a cappuccino. Well worth the price....read full review
