A wonderful venue for my birthday meal with friends yesterday. We dine here on a fairly regular basis and are never disappointed with the excellent food choices and fantastic service. I often struggle with eating out because of my dietary issues but it’s not a problem here. Our highly efficient and exceptional waiter, Ben, even managed to persuade the chef to adapt a non gluten free meal of my choosing for me. We never fail to enjoy our time here. Always lots of choice and food well cooked. I particularly appreciate as a vegetarian being given a proper vegetarian choice and not expected to eat vegan. There is a big difference. They also accommodate our large but well behaved dog.

We dropped in Sunday lunch time without a booking and the staff went out of their way to find us somewhere to sit. Nice selection of ales and the food was delicious! Comfy chairs next to crackling fires (we could have stayed all afternoon).
